Middle school and high school students that wish to participate in school sports at Pine River Public Schools in the 2007-2008 school year must obtain a sports physical. Once again, the physicians of Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital will conduct sports physicals for seventh through twelfth grades at a cost of $15 per student. Physicians will be on hand at Pine River High School on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 beginning at 8 a.m. in the school gymnasium.

Please note: Students with last names beginning with the letters A-H should report between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Students with last names beginning with the letters I-S should report between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon, and students with last names begining with the letters T-Z will be seen from noon to 1 p.m.

In order for your child to participate in a school sporting event they must have a current athletic physical on file with the school. If that form is dated prior to Apr. 14, 2007, they must obtain a new physical for the upcoming school year. Physical forms are available now at the high school office which is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The forms should be completed prior to Aug. 2, 2007 and presented at the time of the physical.
