GREENVILLE, Mich., Sept. 4, 2024 – Corewell Health™ is pleased to announce a major expansion and renovation to the Greenville Hospital Cancer Care Center, thanks to the generosity and major donation from the Braman family that will nearly fund the entire project.
“We are deeply committed to local cancer care,” said Drew Dostal, president, Corewell Health Greenville Hospital. “Our dream has always been to have hospital-based cancer services in a state-of-the art facility that provides life-saving medical treatment and additional wellness amenities for those with cancer. Today, that dream becomes a reality, thanks to the generosity of the Braman family.”
Bob Braman, son of the late local philanthropist Bill Braman, said, “My dad’s generosity was in response to the way the hometown health care center has supported our family and community so well. Three of our own family members received outstanding care at this very cancer care center, and it’s a privilege to be present at the groundbreaking of its expansion. We look forward to witnessing the growth and continued healing.”
The expansion intends to renovate and enhance infusion and exam capacity to the existing space to accommodate the growing demand for cancer care and infusion services in the area.
A few highlights of the new facility include:
The wellness and education center will have a resource library with reading materials, acupuncture, massage, yoga, music and art therapy, along with a BeautifulYou salon and wig services.
The W.H. Braman Cancer Care Center will provide patients with top-notch care in a facility that will also provide the best possible patient experience with amenities to help them not only be treated and heal, but to feel human as they go along that journey. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
