Red Tie Ball Once Again Brings Together The Community To Benefit Corewell Health Children’s Programs

Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan is excited to announce the return of the Red Tie Ball, a fundraising event supporting Corewell Health Children's Center for Exceptional Families (CEF), and the development of Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital’s pediatric services. The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 4, 6 p.m., at The Henry in Dearborn.

“The Red Tie Ball has been a long-standing fundraising event for children’s programs in Dearborn,” said Ryan Daly, president, Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan. “The need for support of the children in our community has never changed. However, we altered the format to a virtual setting in recent years and are now looking forward to once again bringing the community back together in a festive environment to support our youngest patients and celebrate the 70-year legacy of our Dearborn hospital.”

The Center for Exceptional Families is a comprehensive and innovative medical and rehabilitative facility for children with special needs such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, intellectual disabilities, genetic syndromes or for children who are on the autism spectrum. The event also will benefit the development of pediatric programs and services at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital to meet the growing needs of younger patients in the community.

Since 1953, the hospital has been serving the health care needs of the Dearborn community.  Having a dedicated team of physicians, clinicians, nurses and support personnel has always been a mainstay of the facility. It is through the ongoing backing of the community that hospital programs and services continue to evolve, and solutions are found to care for the medical needs of residents.

All are invited to attend the evening’s celebration, which will include cocktails, dinner and dancing to the Ben Sharkey Band, generously presented by Karen and Partick Smithbauer, Drs. Harris, Birkhill, Wang Songe and Assoc., P.C., and the Toni A. Wisne Foundation.
