Southfield, Mich., June 22, 2026 -- Business and philanthropic leader Stuart Blanck has committed an additional $20 million to Corewell Health® in Southeast Michigan, bringing his total giving to $41 million. His support includes a transformative gift of $21 million in 2019. The new investment will support patient care and future mission-driven advancements at the state’s largest not-for-profit health care system.

To recognize and celebrate this leadership investment, a new care center under construction across from the Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak will be named the Corewell Health Stuart, Lorraine and Martin Blanck Care Center. The name honors Stuart’s parents, Lorraine and Martin, who helped inspire his generosity and lifelong commitment to helping others.

“I’m making this commitment because I want to make a difference in my community and there is no better way to do that than by investing in a world-class organization like Corewell Health,” said Blanck, a co-owner of Wallside Windows and member of the Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan Board of Directors. “This health system provides the best care for so many people each year. They cared for my mother and father, and it meant so much to my entire family. I want other people to experience that same compassion and level of excellence that we did.” 

As Corewell Health advances its five-year strategic plan, the new care center, which was announced in September 2025, represents the health system’s commitment to investing in the community and in services and facilities that will have the greatest impact on patients and families facing a broad spectrum of needs.

The new 89,000-square-foot Corewell Health Stuart, Lorraine and Martin Blanck Care Center broke ground this past September and is slated for completion in 2027. The two-story ambulatory/outpatient surgery center and medical office building will provide care for an additional 20,000 patients each year. The building will bring key outpatient services under one roof, including primary care, behavioral health, digestive health services and more, and will be home to four operating rooms and one procedure room to accommodate same-day, lower-risk surgeries, including orthopedic procedures.
